Intro promises:
For a small site, and it is not huge, the sign up price might seem a little over the top, but you are paying for quality here, and exclusivity, and there are many professionals working hard behind the scenes, and in front of the cameras, to produce what is a pretty unique site. In particular the site is about erotic photography, you could even say glamour erotic photography and it is soft-core. There are movies, which are also along the same lines, and you are looking at creations along the lines of ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’ rather than ‘Debbie does Dallas,’ if you see what I mean. And the girls are young and lithe and appear in that erotic, soft focus kind of style images, with good lighting, great poses and perfect bodies. Members get to collect all the images and the videos if they wish, there are no limits, and uploads appear to be happening every other day. The main console in the members’ area is neatly laid out and is image rich. You have a double menu at the top and two side bars which hold archive links and top lists. Your main content is then shown in the centre of the screen and each photo shoot looks like the front cover of a glossy magazine. These are the updates and they come with dates, names, number of images and size of images. (More about all that later.) To move around the site you've got the menus at the top and you can link straight across to Photos, Videos and Model index if you’d rather browse the content by model. Photos come in a choice of sizes, and there are zip file downloads as well as slideshows to run. Videos are set out in the same way, each one has the cover shot to the left and then the viewing options to the right; these include streams and downloads, full scenes and clips, and you can also link to the girl’s entry in the model index. That model index is fully searchable with good search options, as is the whole of the members' area, and you have some neat background information about each girl. With all of the content and the girls, you are able to rate what you see and make a difference to the top lists, and you’re also invited to write in and leave comments. Make use of the ‘add to favourites’ function if you want to start making up your own store of your best girls and their work. The rest of your menu is made up of links to the photographers, and then to the top lists. You've got the archive dates running down the side of the Updates page so you can easily click back through the content. Navigation is easy here and there were no technical problems.

Impression:
I ran a quick content count for you and discovered: 106 photo sets with an average of around 100 images each, and 39 videos that ran for around 12 minutes each. They came in WMV and DivX files, and up to 4,100 Kbps @ 1,280 x 720 in size, which was pretty neat. There are also Flash streams to run in a good sized player. (I did have some trouble getting it to work though, and went for the download option instead.) There were 30 photographers at work here photographing, and videoing, just over 100 gorgeous girls. And are these girls gorgeous? Well, that depends on your definition and what you like to see, but for youth and beauty, smooth and lovely, slim and innocent looking, then yes these girls are pretty gorgeous. They are your glamour-puss, pert-bosomed, gentle kind of young ladies who are aged around 20 years old. They pose and strip off in beautifully shot image sets where individual images click yup to 5,000 pixels at times, though you do have the other choices of size as that’s a bit big for most screens. Needless to say, for a site that runs on quality there is nothing to fault with the quality here; and that goes for the movies too. You are looking at mainly solo work, with the very occasional duo, or three girls posing together, but as I said, this isn't hardcore porn, this is delightful erotica where a lot is left to your imagination. There is a banner which reads ‘thousands of items, hundreds of models, and growing,’ but actually… Well, the site if still quite new, the first content was added in August 2011, which is almost a year ago, and though there are not hundreds of models, there probably are thousands of individual images. The price is still a little on the high side but yes, the content count is growing.

Conclusion:
Showy Beauty works on the photographic level and it certainly gives you quality, and exclusivity, and that is what you are paying for. You could argue that you are paying too much for only a low content count, but the site is updating every couple of days and numbers are rising fast. The girls are perfect, the theme is erotica rather than porn, and this is a lovely, gentle place to come and hang out as you watch some very sweet young 20-somethings strip and pose for you. You need to think quality rather than quantity and class rather than ass.
